In order to facilitate deep exchanges of cross-strait academic and practical accounting, prosper accounting theory and practice, co-sponsored by accounting counterparts from the mainland more than 20 key universities and more than 20 well-known universities in Taiwan, "the first cross-strait accounting symposium" may be held at Xiamen University from 21 to 22 in November, 2009, to provide accounting scholars and practitioners a platform for mutual learning, cooperation and communication. Seminars include two parts "Theme Report" and "Group Report and Discussion", the conference working language will be Chinese and English. The symposium now collected papers from accounting experts, scholars and practitioners from universities home and abroad and institutions. The scholars intended to participate in the international seminar should send the manuscript in PDF or Word format (please specify Corresponding author) by E-mail to: CAS@xmu.edu.cn before October 15th, 2009, and not contribute by mail or fax. After receiving the manuscript, we will inform papers’ corresponding author by e-mail for receive and to acknowledge. Furthermore, in order to expand the social impact, we will sincerely invite domestic and foreign head of magazine editorial department to participate in this seminar. The submitted papers will be reviewed anonymously, and before October 25, 2009 notification will be send by e-mail if the paper was selected. Determine packet report academic papers before November 5th, 2009, while identifying presenters and commentators. Every author can only report one thesis.
Meals of delegates during the meeting will be organized by the conference, accommodation and round-trip transportation expenses might be paid by participants themselves.

Contributors Note:
This seminar involving research areas include (but are not limited to): Financial crisis and the financial accounting, management accounting and financial crisis, the financial crisis and auditing, financial crisis and risk management, internal control and financial crisis and companies governance, taxation, international accounting, corporate finance and financial crisis, the financial crisis and capital market accounting, accountants professional ethics;
Promote the adoption of international mainstream academic research paradigm, including empirical research, archival research, analytical studies, research, field studies, experimental research methods, while encouraging original and specific research, required to comply with academic norms: scientific, rigorous, truth, originality;
Papers must be unpublished; manuscripts format please strictly refer to the "Accounting Research" style, words (including charts, references, appendices, etc.) should not exceed 15 000, otherwise it will affect the recruitment of papers; fill out the "contribution receipt" when submission, and put "contribution receipts" at the paper's home page.
