To enhance the academic and application exchanges of Management Accounting, summarize the research and application results of Management Accounting and the 30 years Reform and Opening and promote the further development of Management Accounting Research, a conference organized by Accounting Society of China Professional Committee of Management Accounting and Application and hosted by Center for Accounting Studies of Xiamen University and School of Management, Accounting Department in Xiamen University called " Symposium of Management Accounting and 30 Years' Reform and Opening and Anniversary of Professor Xuying Yu’s 86th birthday " will be jointly held on October 11-12, 2008, Xiamen University. We deliberately ask management accounting academics and practitioners for papers. The meeting language is Chinese, welcome to submit papers and application experience about management accounting. The conference will invited well-known experts for accounting keynote report.
The applied papers cover the following areas, but are not limited to:
1. Development of management accounting review (which can develop their own topics to review and summarize;
2. Budget management and management control;
3. The incentive mechanism and performance evaluation;
4. Target cost management;
5. Balanced Scorecard and operating cost management;
6. Intellectual assets and intellectual capital management;
7. Strategic management accounting;
8. Environmental management accounting;
9. Management accounting concerned creative economy;
10. Management accounting and decision support;
11. The training for high level management accounting professionals;
12. Non-profit organizations cost management, budget control and performance evaluation;
13. IT application in the field of management accounting.
The essay should have important theoretical prospective and practical significance, clear views, informative material, standardized literature citation, rigorous research methods and be unpublished. The selected papers will be determined through an anonymous review process. The authors whose paper was selected should pay for transportation and accommodation themselves. Participants besides the reporters and commentators shall pay registration fee RMD600.
Papers should include:
(1) Home: Title / Author Name / work unit / titles and duties / communication (contact address, zip code, telephone, fax and e-mail address);
(2) Page: English summary (about 300 words; elucidate the main content of the paper, important ideas and academic innovation) and keywords;
(3) The text;
(4) References.
Paper should generally use Chinese (Simplified) Word document, page layout unified by A4 paper. The dissertation should be sent (by E-mail) to conference group before deadline; Please retention papers. Please specify the words "exchange seminar papers for 30 years’ reform and open of management accounting ". Conference proceedings will be printed.
If the author does not agree to full entry papers, please indicate in the first line of home page of the presented papers. Outstanding papers will be recommended to the "Contemporary Accounting Review" and other journals.
The essay deadline: September 20th, 2008.
The notification of selected papers will be issued on September 25th, 2008.
