In 2021, Xiamen University celebrated its centenary. In 2021, we also welcomed Professor Ge Jiashu's centenary birthday commemoration. Master schools, complement each other, celebrate the centenary, the grand occasion can be expected.

Ge Jiashu, born in March 1921, enrolled in the accounting department of Xiamen University Business School in 1942. He stayed in the school as a teacher as the first student of the business school in 1945. After that, he took root in Xiamen University and contributed to academia and students all his life. As one of the founders of the accounting discipline of Xiamen University, Mr. Ge not only brought the accounting discipline of Xiamen University to the leading position in the country, but also made outstanding contributions to the development of accounting in China. In the 1950s, Mr. Ge put forward the theory of "capital movement", which injected a clear stream into the academic circle that regarded Soviet accounting, Soviet accounting experts, and Soviet accounting textbooks as the "standard"; From the 1960s to the mid-1970s, Mr. Ge unswervingly adhered to the position of basic accounting theory research; From the late 1970s to the early 1980s, Mr. Ge successively published "we must restore the reputation of the debit and credit bookkeeping method" and "Discussion on the Inheritance of Accounting Theory", which played a role of "ideological ice breaking" in China's accounting community and brought the development of China's accounting back to the path of scientific and rational development; After the 1990s, Mr. Ge devoted himself to the research on the conceptual framework of financial accounting and accounting standards, and promoted the continuous improvement of China's accounting standards system.

The Symposium on Ge Jiashu's academic thought of "a hundred years of Xiamen University" will be held at Xiamen University on March 21, 2021.

Other Matters

We will anonymously select 6-8 excellent academic papers for report, in-depth comment and discussion through the communication review process. The symposium will give priority to academic papers willing to be published in this journal. Once a paper is published, it will be paid. The symposium will also select the best paper from the selected papers, and award certificates and bonuses.

This meeting is free of conference fees; The transportation shall be arranged by oneself and the expenses shall be borne by oneself; Accommodation will be arranged in a unified way, and the expenses will be borne by yourself. Selected for the report paper, provide a round-trip travel and accommodation expenses for an author.
