he Accounting Development Research Center of Xiamen University, the Key Research Base of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education, and the Accounting Department of Xiamen University School of Management will jointly host the "2023 Spring Academic Seminar of Contemporary Accounting Review" in Xiamen University on March 23-24, 2023.

We are honored to invite Professor Zeng Xiaoliang from south university of science and technology of china and Professor Xin Qingquan from Chongqing University to give keynote speeches. Ten papers were selected from nearly 100 essays as conference report papers, and famous scholars were invited to make in-depth comments on each report paper.

                                                                                          Professor Zeng Xiaoliang

Professor of Accounting in south university of science and technology of china Business School, head of preparation for the founding of accounting department, Changjiang Lecturer in China Ministry of Education, founder of ESG and CSR research in accounting field, and winner of the 2022 Outstanding Contribution Award of Accounting Literature of American Accounting Association (AAA), the highest honor in accounting, which is a recognition and affirmation of Professor Zeng's unique and significant contribution to accounting education, practice or future accounting research in the past 15 years. Professor Zeng returned to China full-time in 2019, and served as professor and vice president of accounting at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and head of the Center for Sustainable Economy and Entrepreneurship Finance. Before joining the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Professor Zeng worked in the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Schulick Business School of York University, Canada, and was awarded the honorary title of Professor of Schulick Business School.

Professor Zeng has studied the field of corporate social responsibility and capital market for nearly 20 years, and his published academic articles have brought more than 7,500 citations. Among them, the citations of two articles on corporate social responsibility information disclosure rank first and ninth in the world since 2010. An academic article published in the Journal of Financial Economics, a top international financial academic journal, lasted only 24 days from submission to receipt, setting the fastest record for Chinese accounting scholars to receive papers in top international journals.

Professor Zeng is currently the editor-in-chief, deputy editor-in-chief, editorial board member and reviewer of more than 50 international academic journals. Including the editor-in-chief of Accounting Horizons, the deputy editor-in-chief of British Accounting Review and Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance.

Professor Zeng has won many awards for the best papers in international academic conferences and internationally renowned journals, including the Best CSR Paper Award in the World Business Ethics Forum, the Best Paper Award in CGIR (Corporate Governance: an International Review) 2021 and the Best Paper Award in the Asia-Pacific Journal of Financial Studies 2022.

Professor Xin qingquan

Professor of Accounting, Doctoral Supervisor, School of Economics and Business Administration, Chongqing University; distinguished professor, a Changjiang Scholar of the Ministry of Education (2019); winner of the training project of famous accountants of the Ministry of Finance (2019); director of the Planning and Finance Department of Chongqing University (concurrently director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Office); deputy director of the Fifth Committee of Chongqing Democratic National Construction Association; member of the Fifth CPPCC in Chongqing; executive editor of Contemporary Accounting Review; and field of Luojia Management Review (accounting), Invited Editorial Board Member of China Accounting Review, Editorial Board Member of Accounting and Economics Research"

He has won the second prize of the Eighth Outstanding Achievement Award of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education, the top ten outstanding cases of MPACC in China, and the nomination paper of outstanding doctoral dissertations in China (the second place in business administration). As the head of the youth project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the head of several general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

The research fields are accounting, auditing, securities supervision and corporate governance. Academic papers can be found in The Accounting Review, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Business Ethics and China Economic Review, as well as domestic authoritative journals such as Accounting Research, Financial Research, Economic Research, Managing the World and Economic Quarterly. Academic works include his own book "Government Control, Capital Investment and Governance" and his monograph "Accounting Reform in Network Environment: Theory and Method".
