“The Seminar for commencing international graduate school of accounting policy and the ten-year celebration of Accounting and Finance graduate school of Chiba University of Commerce” is jointly held by School of Accounting of Tohoku University and Accounting and Finance Graduate School of Chiba University of Commerce from Feb.28 to Mar.1 in Tokyo.
Professor Xiaohui Qu, director of Center for Accounting Studies, was invited to attend this conference, during which she gave a report about internationalization of accounting education and a seminar talk concerning talents and accounting education as well. President Shozo Yamazaki of Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Prof. Toshifumi Takada of both former vice principal and the leader of accounting discipline, and Prof. Hitoshi Ohnishi of both former vice principal and the leader of public management discipline, President Haruo Shimada of Chiba University and Dean Hiromitsu Takemi of Finance graduate school of Chiba University, Prof. WonSun Paek of chairman of accounting discipline of Sungkyunkwan University, Director Gregg Woodruff of Western Illinois university,
Prof. Yangzong Cai of both president of the Asia-Pacific Management Accounting Association and president of the Taiwan Management Accounting Association coming from Taiwan University, some other experts and scholars coming from Mandakh Burtgel Institute, KCA University, Dhaka University, Jeonju University, Taiwan National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan Soochow University, Taiwan National Dong Hwa University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Northeast Normal University, Sichuan University, China University of Political science and Law, Guizhou University, as well as some universities in Japan and experts and scholars came from professional circles such as like EY accounting firm, all attended this conference.
As a commissioner belonging to Advisory Committee of Accounting and Finance Graduate School of Chiba University of Commerce, Prof. Qu also attended the committee conference, and put forward some advisory suggestions concerning the discipline construction and training program, moreover, Prof. Qu was invited to introduce Xiamen University and Accounting discipline of Xiamen University as the theme of conference as well.
Basically, the attendance of Prof. Qu not only prompted international and regional academic exchange but also improved the international academic influence of both Xiamen University and Accounting discipline of Xiamen University at abroad.
