Professor Jia-Shu Ge, distinguished economist, accountant, management expert, educator, the exploiter of PRC Accountant education enterprise and the founder of accounting standard, senior liberal arts professor of Xiamen University, the first president of School of Economics at Xiamen University, passed away peacefully because of illness on 3:40, November 25, 2013, at the age of 93.
Professor Ge Jia-Shu, born in Xinghua City Jiangsu Province, on March 1921, is a member of the Communist Party of China. Professor Jia-Shu Ge graduated from accounting Institute of Xiamen University and taught there since 1945, he successively held the posts of union president of Xiamen University, the member of academic committee of Xiamen University, and the deputy director of Academic Degree Evaluation Committee of Xiamen University. He was the vice-chairman of China Accounting Society, the member of Committee of Social Science (economics), the member of Financial Accounting Standards Board and director of accounting theory specialized committee. Professor Jia-Shu Ge has been awarded National Advanced Worker in 1989. Professor Jia-Shu Ge was the sixth, seventh, eighth NPC delegates of Fujian Province, and the eighth, ninth Political Consultative Conference Consultant of Xiamen city.
The funeral will be hold at FuZeYuan JingQin Tang in November 27, 2013. We will set a reception center at Xiamen Gaoqi international airport, and drive to the Jimei Blessings Park together.
