When Vice President Xie Weihe met the participants of this meeting, he said Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Education, is an important advisory institution to guide the work of National Philosophy and Social Sciences in Colleges and Universities. Faculty of Management is the only one among 10 faculties to set the secretariat in Tsinghua University, so to make the related work well done is the responsibility and obligation for Tsinghua University. The school will continue to give support and cooperation, and also hope committee members can give some guidance to our school about disciplines construction, teaching and research for philosophy and social sciences. 

Wei Yi-Heng, department contacts and director of Social Science Division of Ministry of Education, conveyed the spirits of Social Sciences Conference of National College, and introduced the details that Ministry of Finance and Education will start a new round of "Prosperity plan of Philosophy and Social Sciences of National College". Su Jun, Secretary-General of Management of Faculty, the director of Arts Building Department of Tsinghua University reported the main work of Management Department after its establishment. The meeting focused on "Research Report of Strategic Planning of Management Department of Social Sciences Committee of the Ministry of Education", and made a number of amendments. In addition, participants also deploy the work of the department for the 2012 year.

The meeting was hosted by Professor Zhao Chunjun, the convener of Management Department of Social Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Education, from School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University and was undertaken by Division of the Secretariat of Management Department and Tsinghua Arts building Construction Department. Professor Qu Xiaohui, director of the Centre attended the meeting.
