The Ninth Meeting of the Steering Committee Chinese of Social Science Citation Index (hereinafter referred to as CSSCI) was held in Nanjing on December 16, 2011. Recommended by Faculty of Management of Social Sciences Committee of the Ministry of Education, Professor Qu Xiaohui was employed as committee member of CSSCI Steering Committee and attended the meeting. Chinese Social Science Citation Index Steering Committee is CSSCI advisory decision-making institution.
The meeting mainly contains two elements: consideration of the 2012-2013 CSSCI source journal selection program (including extended version of source journals and academic collection); Chinese Social Sciences Research Evaluation Center reported the development of CSSCI to participant experts of Steering Committee and the Conference discussed on the major issues of CSSCI construction and development. The meeting concluded consistent resolutions on the basis of consensus.
CSSCI is citation database developed by Chinese Social Sciences Research Evaluation Center in Nanjing University to retrieve the collection and citations of papers in Chinese humanities and social sciences, and key issues and research projects of the State Ministry of Education.
CSSCI indexed literature is from source journals selected by Chinese Social Science Research Evaluation Center of Nanjing University in accordance with the principles and methods identified by Chinese Social Science Citation Index Steering Committee and also reported t and approved by the Ministry of Education. CSSCI has important significance in promoting the journal enhance academic quality, standardizing running behavior, improving academic evaluation, promoting innovation, philosophy and social science research and management and other aspects.
