On July 14, 2018, the 2018 Academic Annual Meeting of the Accounting Society of China hosted by the Accounting Education Branch of the Accounting Association of china and hosted by the Accounting School of Anhui University of Finance and Economics was successfully held at Anhui University of Finance and Economics. Professor Qu Xiaohui of our center was invited to give a theme report entitled "Strategic Thinking of Accounting Discipline Construction" at the conference. She gave a report on the status of the accounting discipline, the international publication of Chinese accounting research, and the status of domestic accounting-related rankings and certifications. The problem was discussed. She believes that the current number of undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral admissions in accounting continues to overheat, and the student-teacher ratio remains high. However, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance, and the National Development and Reform Commission jointly issued the "About Announcement of World-Class Universities and First-Class Universities" on September 20, 2017. The "Notice on the List of Disciplinary Construction Universities and Construction Disciplines" contains too few accounting-related disciplines, which makes our students' acceptance in world-class universities less and very passive. Professor Qu Xiaohui also shared with you the research scope, research methods, research content and distribution of the papers published by mainland Chinese scholars in the Top 5 English journals of accounting in the 2010-2017 and the first half of 2018 , which is quite enlightening for related research topics.
