On June 9, 2022, in order to strengthen interdisciplinary research, the "Interdisciplinary Symposium on 'Financial Accounting + Artificial Intelligence' organized by the accounting development research center of Xiamen University, the key research base of Humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of education, was held in Conference Room 502, floor 5, Cheng Feng building. Professor Ji Rongrong from the Institute of artificial intelligence of Xiamen University, Professor Wu Chaopeng, vice president of the school of management, Professor Yu Lisheng, vice president, and 20 full-time researchers and doctoral students of the center attended the symposium. Professor Liu Feng, director of the accounting development research center of Xiamen University / Accounting Department of the school of management, presided over the symposium.
At the symposium, Professor Liu Feng first introduced the main fields and directions of cross scientific research between the center's financial accounting discipline and big data through eye movement experiments, data structured processing and other cases. Xiong Feng, Li Maoliang, Liu Xinming, Liu Yuanyuan, He Yuan, Meng Qingxi, Li Shengnan, full-time researchers of the center, and Chen Jiguang, Professor of the Department of Management Science, and many other young teachers had in-depth exchanges with Professor Ji on their problems in machine learning and data mining. Professor Ji Rongrong introduced the similarities and differences between artificial intelligence research and financial accounting related research, and introduced the application of machine learning in academic and production processes in simple terms in combination with his own leading projects such as disease control prediction, face recognition and industrial quality inspection.
Finally, Professor Liu Feng made a concluding speech, emphasizing the necessity and importance of interdisciplinary, and the need to establish a diverse interdisciplinary team to form high-quality research results.
