On June 10, 2022, according to the notice of the general office of the Ministry of education on publishing the list of national and provincial first-class undergraduate professional construction sites in 2021 (jgthh [2022] No. 14), the Auditing major of the accounting department of Xiamen University was selected as the national first-class undergraduate professional construction sites of the Ministry of education in 2021. So far, the accounting major (2019) and the Auditing major (2021) of the accounting department of Xiamen University have been selected as national first-class undergraduate major construction sites.
   As one of the accounting disciplines with the longest history in China, the audit major of the Department of accounting of Xiamen University has enrolled students since 1985. It has cultivated the first doctor of auditing in New China and many theoretical and practical professionals who have made remarkable achievements in the field of auditing. In recent years, the Auditing major of the accounting department of Xiamen University has actively responded to the initiative of the Ministry of education, made in-depth exploration in teaching mode, teaching method, teaching content and other aspects, worked hard to promote the interdisciplinary integration, actively explored the construction of new liberal arts, tried to incorporate AI and big data into the curriculum system, and achieved good results in the cultivation of undergraduate talents and the construction of professional curriculum system.

Accounting and auditing majors have been selected into the national first-class undergraduate professional construction sites, which to a certain extent reflects the professional construction level and talent training effectiveness of the accounting department of Xiamen University. The accounting department of Xiamen University will further carry out systematic teaching reform in terms of talent training mode, curriculum system, teaching staff and teaching methods in accordance with the requirements of the national first-class undergraduate professional construction point, promote the continuous improvement of the overall level of the undergraduate professional construction of the accounting department of Xiamen University, and strive to cultivate first-class accounting and auditing talents for the country and society.
