On June 12, the finals of the 2022 (eighth) MPAcc student case competition were successfully held online and offline. The MPAcc "Bald and Strong" team from the Department of Accounting, School of Management, Xiamen University won the championship, won the national special prize of this competition, and the Department of Accounting, School of Management, Xiamen University won the championship for the third time.

The competition is guided by the national accounting degree graduate education steering committee and hosted by the MPAcc Student Case Competition Organizing Committee. This year, it is organized by the Department of accounting and the accounting development research center of the school of Management of Xiamen University. The whole schedule of this competition is divided into four stages: the first stage and the second stage of the preliminary competition, the semi-finals and the finals. There are seven competition areas in Northeast China, North China, East China, central China, South China, southwest and Northwest China. Since its launch in March, nearly 3000 MPAcc teams and nearly 600 undergraduate teams from more than 200 colleges and universities across the country have signed up for the competition, with nearly 20000 participants. After fierce competition in the first and second stages of the preliminary round, 11 teams successfully broke through and entered the finals.

The opening ceremony of the finals was presided over by Professor Li Jianfa, former executive deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Xiamen University and Dean of the School of Management. Professor Fang Ying, assistant to the president of Xiamen University and executive vice president of the graduate school, said in his speech that he hoped that through the successful holding of the competition, we would strengthen the academic exchanges and cooperation between our university and our national brother universities, improve the professional practice ability of graduate students with master of accounting degree, and improve the training quality of graduate talents with professional degree. In his online speech, Dr. Wu Xiangyun, deputy director of the accounting department of the Ministry of finance, deputy director of the guidance center of the Accounting Education Steering Committee, Secretary General of the Chinese Accounting Society and member of the Accounting Education Steering Committee, said that the accounting department of the Ministry of finance, as a department that guides the construction of the national accounting talent team and organizes the postgraduate education of accounting professional degrees, will continue to support domestic scientific research institutions to actively explore the training mode of high-quality accounting talents. Professor Wang Huacheng, vice chairman of the Accounting Education Steering Committee and Professor Zhi Xiaoqiang of Renmin University of China, Secretary General of the Accounting Education Steering Committee and Professor Zhi Xiaoqiang of Renmin University of China, judges and experts appointed by 14 co sponsoring units, 9 judges and experts from practical circles, Professor Yu Lisheng, Deputy Dean of the school of management of Xiamen University, Deputy Secretary Zheng Bijiao and Dai Ying of the Party committee of the school of management of Xiamen University, Professor Zhang Guoqing, deputy director of the Department of accounting of the school of management of Xiamen University Professor Cai Ning, as well as the teacher of the Secretariat of the Accounting Education Steering Committee, the instructor of each participating team, and the participating team members, participated in the opening and closing ceremonies in a combination of online and offline.

During the finals, 11 participating teams submitted cases online in turn, and a team of judges composed of 23 well-known experts from academia and practice asked questions and professional comments, and gave comprehensive scores according to case reports, online displays, question answering and other links. After a day of wonderful competition, the MPAcc "Bald and Strong Team" of the Department of Accounting of the School of Management of Xiamen University won the special prize, the "Guoli Orange Team" of Central South University and the "team that can't do too much" of Hunan University of technology won the first prize, the "Guobao Special Engineering Team" of Nanjing University of Finance and economics, the "Xaoxiliu Team" of Hubei University of economics and the "2+4=1 Team" of Xi'an University of Finance and economics won the second prize, and the "Kailu Team" of Jiangxi Normal University The "Ah Right Team" of Zhejiang University of Finance and economics, the "Right Team" of Hubei University of economics "Today, You Are Not Serious", “Team With Existing Team Name "of Shaanxi Normal University and the" Team With Poor Talent And Shallow Learning "of Anhui Normal University won the third prize. It is reported that the MPAcc student case competition is guided by the national accounting degree graduate education steering committee and hosted by the Organizing Committee of the MPAcc student case competition. Beijing Jiaotong University, Chongqing University, Northeast University of Finance and economics, Hunan University, Jinan University, Shanghai University of Finance and economics, Shanghai National Institute of accounting, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Southwest University of Finance and economics, Xiamen University, Renmin University of China, Central South University of economics and law Sun Yat sen University and the Central University of Finance and economics jointly launched and organized a national public welfare event. By organizing MPAcc students to experience enterprise practice, simulate management decisions, and compete for solutions, the competition cultivates and improves MPAcc students' ability to discover, analyze, and solve practical problems in enterprises, and promotes the exchange and communication of MPAcc students between different training units. It is a stage for MPAcc students to show themselves and a booster for personal growth. It has been held for eight consecutive sessions, attracting more than 12000 MPAcc teams and more than 2800 undergraduate teams to participate in the competition, Nearly 100000 college students across the country participated.
