On May 28, 2023, the KIS National Summit was ceremoniously held in the lecture Hall on the third floor of Keli Building, Xiamen University. The summit was organized by KPMG China and the School of Management of Xiamen University, and co-organized by the Department of Accounting of Xiamen University and the Accounting Development Research Center of Xiamen University.

The judging guests attending the summit are (in order of surname) : Dai Yanjun (Partner, Valuation Modeling Services, KPMG China), Li Jialin (Managing Partner, KPMG China Shenzhen, Head of Financial Practice, South China), Mei Yaning (Lead Partner, KPMG China Xiamen), Yang Quanlin (Partner, KPMG China Financial Risk Management Consulting Services), Zhu Wenwei (Head Partner, Audit Partner, KPMG China ESG Reporting and Assurance) and other 11 KPMG China executives. Guests from universities include Dai Ying (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, School of Management, Xiamen University), Xiong Feng (Associate Professor, Department of Accounting, School of Management, Xiamen University), Yuan Hongqi (Professor, Department of Accounting, School of Management, Fudan University), Jie Shangfeng (Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee, School of Management, Xiamen University), Zhang Jixun (Vice Dean of the Business School of Nankai University and Head of the Department of Accounting), and Wang Keming (Associate professor, School of Management, Sun Yat-sen University) and Liu Zhonghua (Professor, School of Accounting, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies).

A total of 8 teams from universities across the country participated in the competition, among which, the 4 teams in the "Process mining" track were "Ahead" from Fudan University, "Lanxiang Nankai District Branch" from Nankai University, "Cuo Hai Shi Dui" from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and "Excavation Hunter Alliance" from Xiamen University. The 4 teams in the "Climate scenario Analysis" track are "Modest and Enterprising Team" from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, "Brave Niu Niu Team" from Nankai University, "Li Da Gong Wang Wang Team" from Sun Yat-sen University and "Peng Bi sheng Hui Team" from Central University of Finance and Economics.

The eight teams are the top eight in the country after the preliminary screening and Regional Presentation. In the previous Regional Presentation, Xiamen University's "Excavation Hunter Alliance" had competed online with "Modest and Enterprising Team" from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, "Jinan Dream Pursuit Team" from Jinan University, and "Li Da Gong Wang Wang Team" and "Gold Miners" from Sun Yat-sen University. Xiamen University's "Excavation Hunter Alliance" successfully promoted with sufficient preparation.

The "Excavation Hunter Alliance" team of Xiamen University is supervised by Dr. Xiong Feng, associate professor of Accounting Department of Xiamen University and deputy director of Accounting Development Research Center of Xiamen University. The team members are Shao Yaxin, Su Yue, Wang Jingzhe and Jin Tianyu from the School of Management, Dong Mingjie from the School of Economics and Wang Mengzhe from the School of Information.

After fierce competition, the team of "Excavation Hunter Alliance" from Xiamen University won the "National Excellence Award" and the team of "Brave Niu Niu" from Nankai University won the "National Winning Award" in the KIS National Summit.
