On May 13-14, the 2023 National MPAcc Teaching and Management Seminar was held in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, under the guidance of the Accounting Education Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Education, hosted by the Business School of Renmin University of China and hosted by Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics. The seminar focused on MPAcc education work summary and prospect, MPAcc training experience summary, practical mentor project construction, ideological and political education and other topics. Prof. Zhang Guoqing from Accounting Development Research Center of Xiamen University and Accounting Department of Management School of Xiamen University was invited to attend.

Xiamen University MPAcc program successfully passed the Master of Accounting Professional Degree Education Quality Certification (AAPEQ) in July 2022, and obtained the A-level certification. At this teaching management meeting, Professor Zhi Xiaoqiang, Secretary General of National Accounting Education Steering Committee, presented the AAPEQ A-level certification to our school, and Professor Zhang Guoqing accepted the certificate on behalf of the MPAcc project of our school.

At the seminar, Professor Zhang Guoqing summarized and shared the MPAcc training experience of Xiamen University. Prof. Zhang Guoqing gave a detailed introduction of Xiamen University MPAcc project, project strategy, school-running ideas, characteristics and innovation, school-running conditions, teaching and enrollment, etc., and shared with the guests the risks and thoughts summed up in the training experience of Xiamen University MPAcc program.

MPAcc AAPEQ certification is an education quality certification system jointly established by the Accounting Education Steering Committee under the guidance of the education authorities and the accounting industry authorities, combined with the actual development of professional degree education, and related accounting industry organizations and training units. AAPEQ certification is divided into A, B, C three levels, A level is the highest level. The AAPEQ accredited institutions are often referred to as the "Ivy League universities" in the accounting professional master's field. In September 2021, Xiamen University applied to enter the AAPEQ certification fast track process. On April 25, 2022, the Accounting Education Steering Committee reviewed and approved the application for the fast track of Xiamen University. In July 2022, the Accounting Education Steering Committee organized and completed the online evaluation and online investigation of Xiamen University's AAPEQ certification. From July 20 to 25, 2022, all members of the Accounting Education Steering Committee reviewed the certification conclusion of Xiamen University and passed the A-level certification conclusion of Xiamen University.
