On March 28, 2023, Elsevier, a global information analysis company, officially released the 2022 " Highly Cited Chinese Researchers " list. Professor Du Xingqiang was selected as one of the "Elsevier 2022 Highly Cited Chinese Researchers(Business Administration)".

Elsevier Highly Cited Chinese Researchers list uses Scopus, the world's authoritative citation and index database, as the statistical source of Chinese scholars' scientific research achievements. Elsevier uses the method developed by Shanghai Soft Science Education Information Consulting Co., Ltd. to analyze the performance of scientific research achievements of Chinese scholars, which has attracted high attention from many media and scholars at home and abroad. Being included in the Elsevier Highly Cited Researchers list means that the scholar, as the first author and corresponding author, is at the top level among all researchers in the discipline in China in terms of the total number of citations of papers published, has a high global influence, and has made outstanding contributions to the development of the field. The 2022 "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers" list has a total of 5,216 people from 504 universities, enterprises and scientific research institutions, covering 10 subject fields and 84 first-level disciplines of the Ministry of Education.
