2011 CAPANA Conference July 13-15, 2011 Xiamen, China The Forth Annual Research Conference of Chinese Accounting Professors' Association of North America(CAPANA) CALL FOR Participation The Chinese Accounting Professors' Association of North America (CAPANA) invites both members and non-members to submit papers to its fourth Annual Research Conference. The conference will be held in the beautiful city of Xiamen, on the coast of Fujian Province, on July 13-15, 2011. The conference is sponsored by the School of Management of Xiamen University. Papers in all areas of accounting using all available methodologies are welcome. The objective of the conference is to bring together accounting scholars in North America and Asia to discuss a small number of high quality research papers. CONFERENCE DETAILS: There will be approximately 7-8 papers to be selected for presentation at the conference. Papers should be well developed, but at a stage where they can still benefit from participants' discussion. The format of the presentation is similar to a regular workshop except that there will be a discussant for each paper. The working language of the conference is English. Only papers written in English will be considered. While both China-related and non-China-related papers are encouraged, one slot will be reserved for China study to promote research in this area. Papers by current CAPANA officers will not be considered. No single person should submit more than one paper. Selection of papers will be made through a double-blind review process. Acceptance decisions are expected to be announced middle of April, 2011. There will be a best paper award of $500 voted by conference participants towards the end of presentations. The deadline for submitting papers is February 28, 2011. TRAVEL, LODGING, AND REGISTRATION FEE: All conference participants are responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses. Except for the invited discussants, all conference participants (including presenting authors) are required to pay a registration fee of US$250 for CAPANA members and US$350 for non-members. The registration fee includes conference materials, receptions, and meals.
